As I am typing this out I am currently 16 weeks pregnant. Rome is my little girl and she will be my first born. Me finding out that I was pregnant was pretty interesting. I remember the week prior my body felt very off and a bit sick didn't think anything of it until one day when a pregnant coworker of mine mentioned she was craving a cherry limeade slush with pickles and it sounded so amazing I then started to question more why I was feeling that way.The very next morning I took three strip test placed them down and as soon as I was washing my hands I accidentally looked over and immdiately all of them popped up a very strong positive.
I never really knew what pregnancy had in store for me. Now being into my second trimester I can't really say much about the full entire experience but in the beginning it has been a tough so far. Symptoms I've had being nausea, headaches, hot flashes, shortness of breath and the main being back pain. Progressing into this pregnancy I have been getting a bit better at managing my symptoms but there are times where it can really take a toll of my body phsyically. My symptoms were a good sign to me that I was going to have a girl why is why I wasn't suprised at all when they told me her gender.
Being a first time parent is going to be a completely new thing for me especially learning how to navigate while finishing the second half of my academic journey. I am very excited and nervous for this new phase in my life because she is going to show me what it means to be a parent. Both her parents and family members are very ready to meet her in feburary and love her so much already. Words cant describe how lucky I feel to have a daughter soon and to show her the world on how beautiful it can be. She is my superstar and my muse.
